i was in new york city for business today. can you picture it? tweed suit. tan overcoat. some type of hat. a perpetual scowl on my face as i have a black leather suitcase attached to my shoulder. no no no. god no. but i did wear a suit coat. and now i’m on my way back to boston. in fact, i sat down on the train and i took off my suit jacket. I untucked my shirt. I rolled up my sleeves. it was sort of the perfect commercial for Amtrak.
i had potato chips for dinner tonight. and a bag of pretzels. life is good, my friends, life is good. and i’ve booked my travel for Q1. here it is: a trip to puerto rico with fran. a trip to italy to visit silvia—a trip that might be possibly be the most wonderful thing ever. a trip to paris and nice with fran, my mom and my dad, and then staying on for a week after to travel through spain for fran and i. and sometime between it all, when we thaw out a bit, we still have to go visit that damn lake monster in champlain.
